An Israeli prison guard was tragically killed at his home in the occupied West Bank, and suspicions of a politically motivated attack have arisen, according to both the Shin Bet security agency and the family of the deceased.
Yochai Avni, the prison guard discovered dead in his residence in the Givon HaHadasha settlement, had no known adversaries, his sister informed Ynet on July 9th.

Avni was found with stab wounds in a burnt house, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival by Israel’s Magen David Adom ambulance servic
Initially treated as a potential criminal case on Monday, the incident prompted a substantial police response, including Israel’s Prison Service head, Kobi Yaakob
