Palestinian Detainees Endure Brutality: Dogs Unleashed, Beatings Persist - One of the Victims Naeem Youssef Salem Abu Al-Hassan

 

"They released the dogs on us, attacking and scratching us while the commander continued to brutally beat us," recounted Naeem Youssef Salem Abu Al-Hassan.

Later, they were transported to an undisclosed location where five soldiers entered the room and resumed the assault.

This cycle of transportation between various sites, enduring beatings, persisted for several days.

Eventually, they arrived at a place where they were forced to kneel, still bound with handcuffs and blindfolded.

"For 37 days, we endured this... almost naked in the freezing cold, our bodies drained, our spirits fading. The rations barely sustained us," Hassan described.

Attempts to protest their treatment resulted in the unleashing of dogs and further brutality from their captors.

During interrogations, they faced violence for not providing information about tunnels.

"The relentless noise made sleep impossible, leaving us drained from exhaustion, starvation, and torture," Hassan recounted.

One night, they were abruptly taken to Karm Abu Salem, where they were released.

"We were urged to hurry despite our weakened state. I could barely walk due to the beatings and deprivation," Hassan recalled.

They managed to reach nearby UN buses, where they finally found some respite.
