In a significant diplomatic move, Spain has made the decision to deny entry to two ships carrying military equipment and explosives destined for Israel from India. According to reports by the Independent, Spain's Foreign Minister, José Manuel Albares, announced the decision, citing Spain's commitment to not contribute to conflicts, according to Megatron Report

The decision came to light when a ship carrying 27 tonnes of explosives bound for Haifa attempted to dock at the port of Cartagena. Minister Albares, speaking from Brussels, emphasized that this action marks the first instance of Spain refusing such a shipment, setting a precedent for future cases.

"This will be a consistent policy with any ship carrying arms to Israel that wants to call at Spanish ports," Minister Albares stated. "The foreign ministry will systematically reject such stopovers for one obvious reason: the Middle East does not need more weapons, it needs more peace."

The move underscores Spain's stance on promoting peace in the region and avoiding any involvement that could escalate tensions. The decision is expected to provoke discussions within the international community regarding arms shipments and their implications for regional stability.
