Between Tuesday and Friday, 21st to 24th May, the world has witnessed the massive funeral procession of an iconic leader, and a popular president, one it has never historically witnessed with the passing of any world leader.
As millions of people across the Iranian nation, especially in Tabriz, Birjand, Qom, Tehran and Mashhad bid farewell to their beloved president and his companions whom were martyred as a result of a helicopter crash, crowds also paid tribute to the iconic leader and his companions, especially the tireless and fervent minister of foreign affairs, late Mr. Hussain Amir-Abdullahian in several other countries like Pakistan, Lebanon, Yemen, Syria, Iraq and Nigeria. Mourning ceremonies were also held in several Iranian Embassies worldwide.
Ten world leaders including Russia's Vladimir Putin, and thirty delegations from other countries physically attended the funeral procession of this great leader in Tehran, the capital of Iran.
The question here is, what made these people to be infatuated with this personality of high repute? The answer is simply his sacrifice, selflessness, courage, commitment, patriotism and love for his people and his active support for the oppressed people, especially the Palestinian nation.
In his three years in office as the Iranian President, Ebrahim Ra'isi alongside his late foreign minister led an administration that prioritized the well-being of their citizens. They tirelessly improved the lives of the Iranian nationals, especially the downtrodden by reducing unemployment, fighting corruption, developing infrastructure and improving ties with neighbouring countries to boost economy in favor of their people. It's in that respect that he successfully headed the country to join BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation in China. He and his late foreign minister both lived a simple and humble life of dignity, devoid of opulence and mismanagement of public funds.
On an international level, President Ra'isi's administration successfully brought together several resistance factions across the region to face their common enemy, the American imperialists and the Zionists regime. He tried hard until his last moment to bring closer the Muslim countries in the region to be a one strong Ummah with one voice.
President Ra'isi successfully brought an end to decade long hostilities between Iran and Saudi Arabia to the extent that a Saudi official referred to the Iranian nation as a brotherly country and also facilitated the end of the long lasting Saudi-Yemen war.
President Ra'isi was the man that raised the Holy Qur'an at the UN General Assembly to advocate its teachings to the world when it was being burnt in "Liberal" Europe.
His unwavering commitment and dedication to the Palestinian cause is obvious to all, as he dedicated his government and revolutionary forces to the Islamic Resistance in Palestine. Certainly, the history of the Palestinian struggle will never be complete without the mention of his administration's unending support and contributions. They indeed died as champions of the oppressed!
In a nutshell, President Ra'isi's administration did a great service to Islam and Islamic unity and has indeed achieved a great success.
Condolences to the Awaited Saviour, Imam Mahdi (ATF), the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the entire Iranian nation, Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) - Leader of the Islamic Movement, and all the free people of world.
